I find travel immensely interesting and integrate it with work often. Research has taken me to southern Africa as a Fulbright Scholar; to Costa Rica and many parts of the United States as a field biologist; and to Europe, Mexico, and Canada as a conference speaker.
In Africa I started writing about travel to tell the story of field biology, to entertain, and perhaps to persuade others to join in the adventure.
